The Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) 2022 annual meeting was a showcase of the latest clinically applicable advances in diabetes management. Among the more than 100 sessions occurring across the 4-day conference, were a trio of sessions led by Jennifer Clements, PharmD, clinical professor and director of pharmacy education at the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy.

During her time at the meeting, Clements was the primary presenter for a trio of sessions focus on U-500 insulin in the inpatient setting, treatment and prevention strategies for hypoglycemia, and clinical implications for SGLT2 inhibitors in chronic kidney disease for patients with diabetes. Clements also participated in other roles, either as a co-presenter or moderator, on a pair of sessions related to mental health support and using virtual reality to educate about psychosocial issues in diabetes.
